Full up和Catch up的用法

1. Full up 非常饱

I feel full up. 我觉得非常饱。

2. Fill sth. up 把某物装满

Go and fill your cup up. 去把你的杯子装满吧。

3. I’m full. / I’m feeling full. 我很饱了。

Catch up

1. 谈话、聊天

Would you like to speak to me later? We could have a catch up. 你等等有空吗?要不要来聊一下?

I caught up with my parents yesterday on Skype. 我昨天用Skype跟我爸妈聊天。

2. 更新

Catch up on the news 看最近的新闻、更新你对时事的了解

3. 赶进度

I’m going to catch up with my homework this weekend. 我这周末要来赶作业。

4. 追上

If you hurry, you should catch up with them at the bridge. 如果你快点，应该可以在桥那边追上他们。

Catch本身是接的意思，例如catch a ball 接球，但用在片语裡意思就完全不一样了喔。
