1. 使用英文「陈述句」时，表达will的过去式

2.表达「想要」
will跟would一个是现在式，一个是过去式，都可以用来表达「想要」的意思。
例1：I won’t let my daughter go to the party. 我不让我女儿去舞会。
例2：I wouldn’t let my daughter go to the party. 我不会让我女儿去舞会（表达过去某个时候，不想让女儿去舞会）。
3.表达「过去习惯」做某件事。
would还有一个用法，跟「used to 」的用法一样，用来表达过去习惯去做某件事。
例：When I was in Taiwan, I would go to the gym two times a week. 当我还在台湾时，每个礼拜去两次健身房。
这裡的句子，用used to 替换也是一样的意思，「used to 」用来表达过去习惯做某件事。

4.表达请求
当我们想请求别人帮忙时，也可以用will或是would。
例1：Will you please help me?

「wish + （that） + 过去式」通常用来表达你希望过去的某件事怎样怎样，但现在其实没有。

8.would like/would rather/would prefer/would you mind
